Privacy Policy

Three — Focus (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is built by NowLanguage, LLC. The app is local-first: it works fully offline and an account is optional. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

• Your tasks (on your device): Tasks and categories are stored locally on your device. If you do not create an account, they never leave your device.
• Cloud sync (optional, account only): If you create an account to back up and sync across devices, we store your tasks, categories, and your name and email address on our servers to provide that sync.
• Tips (optional): If you choose to tip the developer, payments are processed by Apple (In-App Purchase) or Stripe (card checkout). We do not receive or store your card details. For Stripe tips we receive a confirmation that includes the amount and, if provided, your email and any display name/message you entered.
• Supporters wall (opt-in only): Your name and optional message appear publicly only if you explicitly check the “list me publicly” option. You can ask us to remove your listing at any time.
• Diagnostics: We use crash/error reporting (Sentry) to keep the app stable. This may include device type and OS version, not the content of your tasks.

How we use it

• To provide cloud sync and your account.
• To process and acknowledge tips, and (with consent) display the supporters wall.
• To diagnose crashes and improve reliability.

Sharing & third parties

We do not sell your data. We share data only with service providers that help us run the app: Apple and Stripe (payments), MongoDB Atlas (database hosting), and Sentry (crash reporting). Each processes data under its own terms.

Retention & deletion

Local data stays until you delete it or remove the app. Account/sync data is kept while your account is active. To delete your account and synced data, or to be removed from the supporters wall, email support@nowlanguage.com and we will process your request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to opt out of certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
